Jharkhand, Ranchi, Kokar, Feb. 11, 2018: The Kokar community celebrated the birthday of Fr. Shilanand Kerketta, the rector, on 11 February. The solemn Mass in the parish initiated the grand celebration.
The community gathered around Fr. Rector to wish him happy birthday after the Mass. There was a surprise felicitation programme in the school organized by Fr. Jyotish Kindo, the principal, the staff and the students.
The culmination of the celebration was in the evening. A short prayer service was held to thank God the almighty for the gift of life. It was followed by dinner, all the neighbouring Salesians joined the celebration. Fr. Rector thanked everyone present for the occasion.
