New Delhi, Alaknanda, April 18, 2018: It was indeed a historic occasion when the Bosconian Alumunus Raja Sen came to his school for the release of his book ‘The Best Baker in the World’ on Wednesday, 18th April 2018.
It is a book written for children with a beautiful theme and even more beautiful illustrations. In this special day he was accompanied by Mr.Vishal K. Bharadwaj (the man behind the captivating illustrations), his wife and his English teacher Mrs.Uma Nair. Raja Sen is a film critic, film director and this book is his first initiative in the field of writing.
He was given a warm welcome in the School auditorium. Our principal Rev. Father Babu Varghese felicitated the guests. The students of classes 6, 7 and 8 were seated as the audience to witness this great event. Uma Ma’am introduced the author. The audience were shown a short trailer on the book prepared by the Penguin publishing house. Then Raja Sen read a part of the book to the audience. It was followed by an interactive session where 6 students who had already read the book asked a few questions to the author. The morning was concluded by Father Babu as he presented his reflections. Raja Sen with great enthusiasm autographed the copies of the books to be kept in the School library and also the books that were bought by the students. It was a moment of pride for all present and an enriching experience for the students.
