Children’s Day, 2018

New Delhi, Alaknanda, November 14, 2018: Don Bosco School, Alaknanda celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm. The day began with a Special Assembly where the teachers took to stage and performed for their dear students. From Susan Madam’s classical performance to the Junior staff’s group performance, from Geetali Madam’s teachers troupe to an informative skit by students of Class 1, the program got the students enraptured and enthralled.

Lily ma’am gave a message for the students: “You my dear boys are privileged to be in a good school that cares to prepare you for life. Here you are given opportunities galore. Take them on and experiment and explore. In this process you will face challenges but they have to be met. If you face them with the purpose of seeing positive results and a desire to succeed you will race ahead with ease. Remember:

“If you plant honesty you will trust

If you plant goodness you will reap friends

If you plant humility you will reap greatness.”

Today everyone talks about leaving a better planet for our children. We at Don Bosco School are striving towards leaving better children for our planet. You are, my dear children born to lead the nation to be the India of our dreams and the dreams of Jawaharlal Nehru. So put your best foot forward and dream big.”

The Assembly ended with our respected Principal, Father Babu Varghese’s words of wisdom, enlightening our young minds. He encouraged the children to be the change the society needs and showed a video designed by dfcworld.com titled – “I CAN”. The learners as well as the educators found the presentation useful as it taught them the four step methodology including FEEL, IMAGINE, DO and SHARE to ‘REACH’.
