Ranchi, Kokar, Jan. 31, 2018: Don Bosco Kokar celebrated the Feast of St. John Bosco with all the neighbours and the youth under the care of Don Bosco on January 31, 2018.
The spiritual preparation began for both parishners and hostel boys with novena prayers. The tridum service was well organized helping everyone to raise their minds and hearts to God. The bust of Don Bosco at the lovely garden was decorated beautifully by ITI Kokar.
The school had been preparing spiritually everyday with nosegays. It celebrated on the Eve of the Feast with a Mass and felicitation programme was organized for all the Salesians.
On the Feast day, a solemn Eucharistic celebration was offered and all the Salesians were felicitated by the gathered community. A volleyball match between young people and Salesians was a moment of relaxation and togetherness.
In the evening other guests from neighboring institutions came to share fellowship meal. A cultural extravaganza by the students of Don Bosco Kokar and Garigaon mesmerized all the guests. His Lordship Telesphore Bilung D D, Auxiliary Bishop of Ranchi was present on this occasion. The other guests were Superiors from the religious community of both men and women and the staff. The strong dusty wind did not deter people from attending this function. Everyone experienced cordiality and a sense of satisfaction.
