Message from Provincial

WELCOME to Don Bosco, Delhi, India

We are Salesians of Don Bosco of the province of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, New Delhi, established on 24 January 1997 and spread out in 13 states of North India. During these past two decades, we have been working tirelessly to bring the message of hope and progress to thousands of young people of North India through academic and technical schools, hostels and boarding schools as well as centers for youth animation, for social services, and for the empowerment of the young at risk.

We are a part of the world wide religious order called The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) with its headquarters in Rome, Italy. With a current membership of more than 15300 priests and brothers, this organization has been rendering inestimable services in 132 countries for the integral development of young people especially the poor and the marginalized, following the spirit and legacy of Don Bosco, a great visionary educator of the 19th century.

We are committed to enable the young to become upright and contributing citizens as agents of social transformation having sound human and Christian values. To realize our vision, we journey with the young in an environment of loving kindness, joy, spontaneity, freedom and responsibility following the educative vision of Don Bosco based on the values of the gospel of Jesus. We endeavor to create a culture of excellence in every field of the young, with a preferential concern for and sensitivity to the needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized.

We invite you to partner with us in this noble mission of empowering the young in their journey towards a more responsible present and a flourishing future. Together we can make a difference!

With every good wishes and prayers,
Affectionately in Don Bosco,
Fr. Jose Mathew SDB
