The Extra Ordinary Visit at Kokar

Ranchi, Kokar, March 3 2018: The extra ordinary visit by Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanaga to Kokar community was from 3rd to 5th March 2018.

Fr. Maria Arokiam arrived at Kokar on 2nd March. A cordial entourage from the community welcomed him. 3rd March began with the Holy Mass followed by a short felicitation. He expressed the vision and concerns of the congregation and shared news from Rome and SPCSA. Fr. Maria met all the confreres individually and paid a courtesy visit to the bishop of Ranchi in the evening.

On 4th March Fr. Maria Arokiam celebrated the Holy Mass for the Parishners in Hindi. The homily was translated in Hindi by Fr. Shilananda Kerketta, the rector and parish priest. A short meeting was held with the representative of Mahila Sangh, Catholic Sabha and Parish Youth. At 4.00p.m. he had a meaningful interaction with the cooperators, soliciting them to encourage new candidates to join the movement.

On the morning of 4th March he addressed the students and the Staff of the English Medium School. Later, he visited and addressed the ITI students and the staff. As a gesture of appreciation, a fellowship meal was shared with the non-teaching staff in the afternoon.

Don Bosco School Garigaon was visited by Fr. Maria Arokiam on 5th March. The staff and the students warmly welcomed him.
This extra ordinary visit was indeed a moment of grace and renewal for everyone.
