Tree Plantation by Don Bosco School Alaknanda

New Delhi, Alaknanda, September 8, 2018: It is rightly said that planting a tree is planting a hope. Knowledge can be gained from any book but experience can be gained only practically. On 8 September 2018, a mega TREE PLANTATION DRIVE was organised by the Delhi government, in which, Don Bosco School, Alaknanda was a part. I, along with my friends of Class IX were filled with ecstasy, as we all marched towards the Jahanpanah City Forest to plant trees, thereby addressing to the problems caused due to increasing pollution levels in our city. We were delighted to have amidst us, Mr. Saurabh Bhardwaj, the Aam Aadmi Party MLA, who enlightened us with his words of wisdom, convincing us for the need of a greener Delhi for us and the future generations. Staff members and about 200 students from our school actively participated in the plantation drive and made it a big success by planting about 20 saplings.

A famous quote reads, “Imagine if trees gave us WiFi signals, we would be planting so many trees, we’d probably save the world. Too bad they only produce the oxygen we breathe.”
