CHARITY BY DON BOSCO, BARIATU AMIDST LOCKDOWN

The whole world is facing the pandemic due to COVID-19, caused by the corona virus. After the lock down was announced in the country and the second phase is on, there are many who are affected severely especially the poor, marginalised and daily wagers. The community of Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services, Bariatu decided to help the poor of their neighbourhood.  Together with the support received from Don Bosco, Kokar the community under the leadership Of Fr. Ashaok Kujur provided ration to about 100 families. Fr. Kapil Toppo encouraged the leaders of different colonies and the affluent families to come forward in helping the poor of their respective areas. Eventually, together with the assistance of Fr. Deepak Kindo and Fr. Amulya, the community reached out to almost 450 families and provided ration to these families. Thus DBYES, Bariatu has helped almost 550 poor families so far and it continues. The ration packets included rice, flour, mustard oil, potatoes, salt, onion, soyabeans, sugar and soaps.
