Fr Brian Diamond loved his call to Priesthood, excelled in the spirit of hard work, spirit of sacrifice, simplicity of life, devotion to duty and religious life. He was a source of inspiration and edification. Though he is no more with us, he continues to speak to us by his exemplary life.
Fr. Diamond loved children and had a special predilection for the young. He always tried to live up to the ideals of Don Bosco. Wherever he went his main thrust was excellence in education and evangelization through quality education. He gave great importance to Catechism and faith formation and took keen interest in promoting vocations to Priesthood and religious life. Like a true son of Don Bosco, he was devoted to the Holy Eucharist and would be seen before the Blessed Sacrament for long time. He was a true devotee of Mary Help of Christians and expressed it through the faithful recitation of the Rosary. He experienced the grace of God, the protection of Our Blessed Mother, and the loving guidance of Don Bosco. Towards the end of his life, he was very exhausted and weak, yet he never complained about it. He manifested a calm, serene and gentlemanly behaviour towards all who visited him. He did everything with a spirit of sacrifice, for the love of the Lord and thus sanctified his life.
Fr. Brain was an efficient administrator and a true father, a friend and guide to the young. He worked hard to inspire the young to live better, grow better and succeed in life. He was a zealous priest, a devoted Salesian, a loving father, an apostle of the young and a committed follower of Christ. Wherever he was, he transmitted joy, devotion to duty and the awareness of God’s presence. He was very cordial and affectionate, and at the same time demanding when it came to duty. Nevertheless, his approach was always fatherly and friendly. He served the young in the style of Don Bosco. As a faithful follower of Don Bosco, he was a zealous pastor, faithful to the Church and to the Salesian Congregation. He fought the good fight and the Lord has called him to Himself for his eternal reward.
