Four Salesians of the Salesian Province of New Delhi, along with 12 Salesians of the Salesian Provinces of Bangalore and Trichy completed their two years of post-novitiate training at Don Bosco College, Aluva. Bros. Deepak Kandulna, Kuldeep Minz, Amrit Tirkey and Anees Toppo are from New Delhi Province who graduated from the Philosophy Study House at Aluva.
The Graduation Ceremony held at the Don Bosco College, Keezhmadu, Aluva began with words of welcome by the Principal Fr. Joy Kaippananickal. Fr. Joyce Thonikuzhiyil, Former Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, presided over the function and distributed the certificates. In his keynote address, Fr. Joyce said that consistency and commitment to one’s vocation would bear fruits in the ministry ahead. Quoting Thomas Aquinas, he stated that theories are not something that one learns for the sake of learning, but they are visions that help one cultivate the ‘Art of Being there for each other’, especially the poor and the needy. The Rector Fr. Francis Joseph Vattukulam felicitated and asked the young Salesians to be brand ambassadors for the institution.
