The Rectors & Leaders Meeting at DBPH
Reg. 145 of the Constitutions of the Society of St. Francis De Sales says as following
“The Provincial should keep in contact with the rectors and give them special attention. he should call them together at least once a year to treat of matters of general interest for the province. “
Keeping this in mind the annual meeting of Rectors’ and Leaders’ for the year 2024-2025 was scheduled for 13th to 15th of July 2024 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Okhla New Delhi. The three days of coming together by listening to one another and sharing the personal reflections through various animations were a very significant moment.
Various Prayer moments through exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, meditation, morning prayer, Holy mass presided over by the important persons, prayer before the sessions, evening prayers, rosary, night prayers and good nights talks given by different persons added the Spiritual nourishment and strength for the good discernment process.
The mind and hearts were touched and life was enthused for the mission for the salvation of the young through the various sessions presented by the different resource persons and the reflections, interventions and the discussions that followed then after. They are as follows:

Ø SEPP, EPCC & Community Plan, Salesian Fraternal Life & Community by Fr. Shilanand Kerketta, Sdb
Ø The Jubilee 2025 Pilgrims of Hope and Rev. Fr. Biju Michael SDB, the regional for the South Asia region’s report of the Extraordinary visitation of the province of New Delhi was Presented by Fr. Provincial
Ø Commission Report & future action plans presented by different Commission Co-ordinators of various Youth Ministry dimensions, other Commissions & Sectors like Edu. & Culture, Edu. to Faith, Social Exp. Voc. Guidance, Social Communication, YaR, Higher Education, School & Tech, Vocation Promotion, Formation, Religious Discipline, Salesian Family, Finance & Dev., Parishes & Missions, Oratory and Youth centres, Sports academy etc
Ø Child Safe guarding Policy by Mrs. Moumita Roy, the National Program Coordinator of DB YaR Forum
Ø Another very import Open Session Chaired by Fr. Provincial and the provincial economer was a moment of eye opener for the greater thrust, openness for the close collaboration and common solidarity for the care and concerns of the province through discuss on some common issues and other important matters of the Province.
The various light moments through sharing during the meals times common fraternal celebrations and walking in 2 by 2 or more, too was an enriching moments.
The Rectors’ and Leaders’ meeting was very aptly concluded with the Jubilee Mass and felicitation of our 14 Jubilarians. It was a moment to thank God for the gift of th confreres and to express our gratitude towards them for the years of selfless service that they have rendered for the growth of our province.
Indeed, the rector’s and leaders meeting was a time of renewal and receiving inner motivation to move ahead with great faith and hope for the mission. For the 4 newly installed rectors it was truly a significant moment learning and being supported by other like-minded leaders. we thank the Lord almighty for such moments and the responsible persons who looked into the every aspects of animations and coordinating so well.
