A long awaited school at Barela was finally blessed by Rev. Fr. Davis Maniparamben ,the Provincial, in the presence of Vice Provincial, Fr. Vijoy Soy, Provincial Economer, Fr. Biju Abraham, Fr. Scaria, Fr. Mathai, the fathers and brothers of Don Bosco Yuva Sadan, Jabalpur, Mr. Leslie Lobo, the contractor, Mr. Nishant, the Architect, and Fathers and sisters of nearby religious communities on 27th January, 2022.
The programme began at 3.30 pm with a short prayer service presided over by Rev. Fr. Davis Maniparamben, the provincial. He invoked God’s blessings upon the newly constructed school building, all the students and staff who would be benefitting from the school and also fondly remembered and prayed for all the benefactors , friends, contractor, architect and workers who contributed towards the building up of the infrastructures. Fr. Provincial along with Fr. Bijoy Parackal, the Rector of Don Bosco Yuva Sadan, Jabalpur blessed and incensed the entire premises.
At the end of the short prayer service, Fr. Bijoy, on behalf of the community of Don Bosco Yuva Sadan, Jabalpur welcomed the dignitaries with a shawl and a bouquet. He then gave a brief historical background of the construction of Don Bosco School, Barela. After Which Fr. Provincial presented Fr. Sujith Augustine with the key of the School and wished him all the best for taking forward the newly blessed School. He then released a booklet about the school and presented the first copy of the booklet to Rev. Fr. Scaria recognizing his contribution and the generosity of Giovani Arvedi E Luciana Buschini Foundation in building the school. He also wished for their continued help to complete the project. In his message, he wished that this school would form good citizens who are broad minded and be of service to others.
Fr. Sujith Augustine, the chief organizer of the event, in his vote of thanks expressed his thanks towards all those persons who contributed their share for making this day a memorable one. In a special way, he thanked Fr. Provincial, who was instrumental in the purchase of Barela land and for having dreamt a school on the presence site. He also appreciated and expressed his sincere gratitude towards Fr. Biju Abraham, the provincial Economer who played a major role in making this day a reality.
After the blessing ceremony, all the guests present were invited for the refreshment. The day was made beautiful and memorable due to the hard work of all the fathers, brothers and the aspirants of Don Bosco Yuva Sadan, Jabalpur. The brothers under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Sanjit Kujur, in a special way made the programme lively with their melodious singing and animation.
