New Delhi, Alaknanda, Oct. 8, 2018: Polluted air is the biggest environmental health risk of our time, and children are more likely to pay the heaviest price. Children are more susceptible than adults to both indoor and outdoor air pollution and its effects.
To minimize the negative health effects of air pollution and to create awareness about the same, Blueair, a world-leader in air purification solutions, conducted a workshop for the students of classes V to VII in the school auditorium on 5th October’18.
The workshop was held to educate and inform the students about the importance of clean air, how it affects in their development, and learn different ways to lower the level of pollution, through videos, discussions and quiz.
Thereafter, the team introduced the students about the Blueair Champions – the contest for clean air. It is a platform to encourage young minds to share their unique and creative ideas to clean the polluted air around us. For this, the students were given a sheet on which they could pen down their ideas in the form of a poem, essay, painting or poster, and submit their entries either at the school office or upload it directly on their website by 12th October’18.
The students were also given a badge as an appreciation and encouraged them to come up with innovative ideas on how to bring down the pollution level, and make our environment a better place to live.
