New Delhi, Alaknanda, December 23, 2017: With glittering decorations, mellifluous carols, and engaging games, Don Bosco was back with its Christmas Carnival after a two year hiatus. The much-awaited extravaganza began with the solemn prayer service. It involved the blessing of the Crib by the Provincial, Fr. Jose Matthew. The prayer service culminated with a visual treat by the children’s favourite Santa Claus.
As the carnival was declared open by our principal, Fr. Babu Varghese, the ground became a host to myriad games, food stalls, and swings attended by the students and their parents. Those in the auditorium witnessed the mesmerizing Carol Singing Competition and the thrilling Beat Boxing Contest. The cherry on the cake was the DJ that lit up the senior assembly hall. Students from all classes joined in and danced to the tunes.
As the day progressed, the enthusiasm and excitement only increased. The eagerness of the students was rewarded with prizes that they won in the games. At about 1 PM, when the sun was still high, the stalls began wrapping up and the DJ played the last songs. When the students eventually walked out of the school gates, their faces shone with joy and contentment. In the day, they had created fond memories which would be well preserved for years to come.
