Ranchi, Jharkhand, Oct. 20, 2018: A maiden province level Mini Boscoree was organized for the Scouts and Guides of New Delhi Province at Don Bosco Kokar, Jharkhand. Around three hundred Scouters & Guiders from Six of our schools (Kokar, Gumla, Jokbahla, Kuarmunda, Hatia and Gadigaon) and two FMA schools (Mazzerellow Namkum & Jumaikela) participated in the Mini Boscoree. It started on 16th Oct afternoon with a well thought out opening ceremony and concluded on 20th Oct. 2018 with breakfast. Mr. Bandhu Tirkey, the state commissioner for scout and Guides of Jharkhand was the chief guest of the opening ceremony and declared the Mini Boscoree opened. Mini Boscoree had all the ingredient of Boscoree and thus it had prepared our Scouts and Guides for Boscoree at Nasik. Every activity of the Mini Boscoree: Boscoree themes, sessions, in-door activities and out activities had a certain standard and professionalism. The presence of two national level scout trainers Mr. Narayana Swamy who is the state organising comminsioner of Tamil Nadu and Mr. Raja Sudamani, a well known scout trainer enriched the Mini Boscoree with their expertise. In short we can say that it was a package treat for every Scout and Guide who participated in the Mini Boscoree, a learning experience for every Scout teacher who accompanied the Scouters and satisfying experience for all the organizers.
Thanks to Rev. Fr. Naresh Kujur, the Vice Provincial who spearheaded the Mini Boscoree organising committee along with Rev. Fr. Davis Maniparamben, the province Youth Pastoral Delegate, Fr. David Rayappan and Fr. Godentious Kandulna. The committee had a meticulous planning because of which the Mini Boscoree was a great success. Special thanks to community of Kokar, especially to Rev. Fr. Michael Peedikayil, the Rector, Fr. Noble George and Fr. Jyotish Kindo for their whole hearted collaboration, involvement and support. We also appreciate every committee heads who carried out their respective responsibilities diligently especially Fr. Linus Lakra and his team of Pre-Novices from Jharsuguda.
