Don Bosco Youth and Educational services, Ranchi, the Youth animation centre of Salesian Province of New Delhi organized ‘Youth Day Special’ via YouTube channel on 9th August, 2020 as exhorted by the CCBI. Keeping in mind the present situation of Covid-19 and keep up with government guidelines, the National Youth Day was observed by DBYES Bariatu, Ranchi, through virtual interactions, creative activities, motivational talks & moments of prayer.
As declared by Pope Francis, the theme was “Youth Arise” and it was well presented to the young people in an animated style. The program included lighting of the lamp ceremony and invoking God’s presence, Praise and worship moments, welcome address to the digital audience by Fr. John Henry Tirkey, the Rector of DBYES, action songs by young people, Prayer for the Young people by the Young people and an inspiring speech by Fr. Ashok Kujur SDB for the GEN Z generation specifically. Fr. Ashok Kujur in his talk during the live session enumerated the qualities of each generation and the issues with the Gen Z. He also proposed 10 ways to deal with the issues in their lives and how they could become responsible sons and daughters to their parents. The Programme, coordinated by Fr. Deepak Damien Kindo SDB, Asst. Director of DBYES received good response.
