Odisha, Jharsoguda, Dec. 13, 2018: The eleven Pre-novices of Don Bosco Yuva Kendra, Jharsuguda undergo Psychological Assessment from 10 to 15 December 2018. It is conducted by Fr. Jose Parappully SDB, the Director of Sumdedha, Jeolikote and Fr. John Padinjareparampil SDB, the Incharge of Bosco Psycholgolical Servcie, Delhi. Psychological assessment is a process which consists of evaluating a referral question, selecting appropriate procedures and tests, administering and scoring tests, interpreting and synthesizing findings, preparing the assessment report and communicating these effectively to the appropriate persons. There are three vital sources of information that can help to answer the reason or purpose for which an assessment is requested. These are: Interviews, behavioural observations and tests. Psychological Assessment is an important formation tool to help the pre-novices toward a better understanding for themselves and use that understanding as aid for human and spiritual maturity. The psychological report can be a resource for appropriate vocational discernment. We are grateful to Frs. Jose and Johny for their valuable service for the formation and growth of the Pre-novices. The psychological assessment will be followed by a programme of psycho spiritual integration by Fr. Fr. John Padinjareparampil SDB from 16 to 20 December.
