The meeting of the Rectors & Leaders of the Salesian Province of Delhi was held from 20th to 22nd August, 2019 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Okhla. The Provincial and his Councillors, Coordinators of various commissions, Rectors & leaders attended the meeting.
Dr. Manoj C. Abraham dealt with Juridical elements based on the current teachings of the Church with the view of helping individuals to solve issues and build up the community. Fr. Jose Mathew, the Provincial presented a report on the state of the province and Fr. Biju Abraham made everyone aware of the financial situation of the province. The Youth Ministry Department led by Fr. Babu Varghese along with the Coordinators of the commissions presented the reports of youth ministry and various sectors of the province. The session by Fr. Johny Padinjareparambil and Fr. Naresh Kujur presented Salesian Educational and Pastoral plan (SEPP) as a practical tool for carrying out Don Bosco’s mission in the Salesian style in the specific context of our life and ministry. Mr. Joselyn Martins, the Chartered Accountant who has over twenty years of experience in the field of charitable institutions and educational institutions shared information on audit, legal compliances especially with regard to income tax, service tax etc. Fr. Johnson animated the leaders on the animation & governance role of the Rector of the Salesian community from a practical perspective. The group discussions and sharing by all the Rectors and leaders helped the participants to understand the situation of the 27 institutions in the province.
