New Delhi, Alaknanda, Jan. 27, 2018: It was an emotional moment for all teachers and students to bid farewell to the batch of 2017-18 on 27th January 2018. The August hall was speckled by the presence of parents and smartly dressed boys, who sat proudly through the ceremony.
Rev. Fr. Babu Varghese along with all other Selasians graced the occasion and blessed the schools outgoing class 12th. It was also an emotional occasion as the school bid farewell to one of its longest serving staff members Mrs. Veena Thakur after her faithful service of 35long years.
Post the lighting of the lamp, fr. Babu addressed tge the gathering and felicitated veena maam, later, mementos were given out to the students along with heartfelt citations read out by the respective class teachers.
The head boy, Chris Jacob Titus’ address won every heart, while Abhishek Durgapal’s poetic thanksgiving brought tears to each eye. The programme also consisted of a performance by the school band and a classical raag rendition by Geetali maam’s troop.
The event came to an end with delicious food and lasting laughter.
