Jharkhand, Bichna, April 2, 2018: Fr. Maria Arokiam reached Bichna on 2nd April 2018 at 11 O’clock in the morning.
Fr. Maria was accompanied by Fr. Aneesh Chacko, the secretary of the Provincial. On their arrival, the jubilant crowd welcomed them in a traditional way by washing hands and garlanding.
The general assembly began at 3 p.m. in the house parlour. All the confreres met Fr. Maria individually. Later in the evening, he visited Bishunpur village and the newly constructed Chapel.
On the 3rd of March, Fr. Maria celebrated Mass for the Parishners in Hindi. It was followed by a short interaction between hostel boys and Disciples. At 9 O’clock he met all the school staff, students and addressed them during assembly. A sapling, along with the confreres, staff and students was planted in the garden. At 8.30 p.m. a sumptuous dinner was organized for nearly 46 Salesians working in Chotanagpur region. It was indeed a joyous gathering.
