New Delhi, Alaknanda, Jan. 31, 2018: The feast of Don Bosco was celebrated at Don Bosco Alaknanda with great solemnity and fervor. Before the Holy Eucharist at 8.00 a.m., Fr. Babu Varghese, the rector and principal, extended a warm welcome and festal greeting to everyone present on the auspicious day.
The Holy Eucharist was presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Charles Maung Bo and con-celebrated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Saw Zay Han, Fr. Jose Mathew, the provincial, and other 10 priests. It was edifying to see all the Christian students participating in the Holy Eucharist along with their parents
His Eminence Cardinal Charles Maung Bo met all the Salesian co-operators at 6.00 p.m. Fr. Jose Mathew, the provincial, introduced His Eminence and an interactive session was held with the Salesian family.
Salesian family get together was commenced at 7.00 p.m., where the Most. Reverend Giambattista Diquattro, Apostolic Nuncio to India and Nepal, His Eminence Cardinal Charles Maung Bo and Rev. Fr. Patrick Saw Zay Hav, First Secretary graced the gathering with their august presence.
Fr. Jose Mathew, the provincial, felicitated two special guests with bouquet of flowers and shawl. Other invited guests to the family meal were priests, religious men and women of the neighboring institutions numbering about 220. It was indeed a mega gathering around Don Bosco who is the sole reason of the celebration.
